The reading by Pasqualin was really good and I liked it because it shows a part of literacy (the language barrier) that most people don’t and will never relate to. It is a challenge of literacy that most people do not think about, you are completely surrounded by new sounds you don’t understand and in order to make a living you have to understand those sounds. I relate to it because I am currently learning Spanish and can understand how hard it is to become literate in a new language.

I think the point Pasqualin was making was that becoming multi literate is one of the most important things you can accomplish in life. It will provide you new life experiences, improve your overall intelligence and help you be able to relate to more people, customs and cultures. Being literate will shape your life experiences for the better and being open to it will greatly improve your life and the people around you because literacy spreads.

This reading can help me with MA2 because it taught me how important it is to be literate, literacy isn’t just reading and writing but it is also speaking and understanding, listening, relating there is a lot more to it than people seem to understand.
